Manuka Doctor is 100% Authentic New Zealand Mānuka Honey.

Pure New Zealand Mānuka Honey offers a distinct flavor that evolves with higher MGO ratings.
Unlike most commercially produced honey, it is less sweet.
The number displayed on the front of the jar indicates the milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) of MGO (Methylglyoxal) and its corresponding antimicrobial potency, which is effective against certain bacteria.
A higher number signifies stronger antimicrobial properties.
MGO in Mānuka honey is naturally produced in the hive from DHA (Dihydroxyacetone), found in the nectar of the Mānuka bush. Inside the hive, DHA undergoes the Maillard reaction, which transforms it into MGO naturally.
